About the role
You will be responsible for:
- Strategically plan daily transport operations to optimize resource use and consolidate trans-shipment loads efficiently.
- Ensure all drivers consistently utilize the designated app for tracking, proof of delivery (POD), and KPI reporting.
- Monitor delivery performance by logging depot departure and arrival times, and prepare detailed handover reports for senior leadership.
- Manage and update driver schedules, track vehicle movements using Velocity and WADS systems, and ensure sufficient assets and resources are available to support daily logistics.
- Oversee customer order flow, liaising with internal departments to guarantee timely fulfillment and proactive communication of any issues.
- Assist with scheduled and ad-hoc inventory audits and reconciliations to maintain stock accuracy.
- Coordinate transport bookings for inbound and outbound shipments with third-party hauliers and customers, ensuring precise scheduling and system updates
About you
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to following established procedures while showing initiative, effective prioritization, and forward-thinking.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, while maintaining process compliance.
- Proficient in IT systems and comfortable using digital tools to support operations.
- Previous experience in general warehousing and transport logistics.
- Familiarity with the Red Prairie Warehouse Management System is highly desirable.
- Capable of working accurately under pressure, meeting deadlines and performance targets.
- Able to follow safety protocols and work instructions with precision.
