About the role

This role is focused on driving profitable revenue growth across the Midlands and Southern UK region by identifying, securing, and developing new freight customers. Extensive travel is a key part of the role as you'll regularly meet customers, attend networking events, and develop opportunities across your territory.

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying and securing new customers across the Midlands, London, and South West
  • Managing a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and networking activities
  • Conducting customer meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations
  • Promoting the full range of DFDS freight and logistics solutions
  • Supporting tenders, proposals, and commercial agreements
  • Building strategic relationships with key decision-makers
  • Working closely with account management and operational teams to deliver customer success

About you

You'll have a proven track record in business development or sales within logistics, transport, freight forwarding, shipping, or supply chain sectors. You'll be commercially driven, highly self‑motivated, and confident building relationships with customers at all levels. Experience managing complex sales cycles and exceeding revenue targets is essential, along with the flexibility to travel extensively throughout the region. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role due to the high level of regional travel required.
