About the role

This is a full‑time tramping position working a rolling shift pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday to Saturday (6 days tramping)
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday (4 nights tramping)

You’ll be working with modern tractor units and fridge trailers, transporting chilled and ambient goods across regional and national routes.

You will be responsible for:

  • Tramping overnight according to the rolling shift pattern
  • Carrying out deliveries safely and on time using fridge trailers
  • Performing daily walkaround checks and recording defects promptly
  • Monitoring trailer temperatures and ensuring load integrity
  • Completing delivery notes and keeping accurate transport records
  • Following all road transport legislation and the Working Time Directive
  • Representing DFDS professionally at every delivery point

About you

Our ideal candidate will have a valid Class 1 license with a clean driving record. They will possess experience in fridge transportation, preferably with fresh produce or seafood. A strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards is essential. The candidate should demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills. Additionally, strong communication skills and a customer‑oriented mindset are crucial for this role.
