About the role

Working Monday to Friday on day shifts, you’ll carry out collections, deliveries, and trunking across the Central Belt of Scotland, as well as trunk routes between Larkhall, Inverness, Aberdeen, and Fort William. You’ll be responsible for moving a range of freight safely and efficiently, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and compliance.

You will be responsible for:

  • Driving Class 1 vehicles with curtainsider trailers on scheduled collection, delivery and trunking routes

  • Transporting a variety of freight including palletised goods and commercial cargo

  • Carrying out pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness

  • Completing delivery notes, logs, and transport documentation accurately

  • Communicating clearly with transport coordinators and depot teams

  • Managing your time effectively to meet delivery windows

  • Ensuring all activity complies with road transport and driver‑hours regulations

About you

You’ll hold a valid and clean HGV Class 1 licence, along with a Driver CPC and tachograph card. Experience with refrigerated transport is preferred due to the nature of some loads, and ADR certification is advantageous (ADR supplements available) but not essential. A good knowledge of Scotland’s road network, particularly routes between Larkhall and Inverness is highly beneficial.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently. Strong communication skills, good time management, and a professional, safety‑first approach are essential. You’ll also be adaptable, able to handle different freight types, and calm when responding to unexpected challenges.

We think the strongest teams are built on diversity and inclusivity. Contrasting opinions, varied skills and strong characters bring out the best in us all. And we cannot wait for you to join.
