About the role
We\'re looking for a dependable and experienced Class 1 Driver to join our team, working night shifts transporting refrigerated goods. This role is essential to maintaining the cold chain and ensuring timely deliveries for our customers.
You will be responsible for:
- Safely operating Class 1 vehicles to transport chilled and frozen goods
- Carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and reporting any issues
- Ensuring temperature integrity of loads throughout the journey
- Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers
- Completing delivery paperwork and using onboard systems for tracking
- Adhering to all driving regulations and company safety procedures
You\'ll be working night shifts on a structured rota, with access to modern vehicles and equipment. The role may involve trunking, store deliveries, or RDC runs depending on operational needs.
About you
You will hold a valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, Driver CPC, and digital tachograph card. You should have experience transporting refrigerated goods and a solid understanding of cold chain requirements. Confidence in working independently and managing your time effectively is essential, along with a safety-conscious, punctual, and professional approach. Clear communication and a strong sense of pride in delivering excellent service will help you succeed and feel valued in this role.
