About the role

Working Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00, you will support the day to day planning and coordination of transport movements across Scotland, the UK and mainland Europe. Working in a fast-paced operational environment, you will play a key role in ensuring shipments are planned efficiently, documentation is completed accurately and customers receive a high standard of service.

You will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the planning of full loads and groupage loads, including inter depot movements
  • Ensuring all transport and dispatch paperwork is completed accurately and on time
  • Processing orders and supporting end to end shipment activity
  • Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Handling customer questions and queries in a professional and efficient manner
  • Completing day to day administration related to dispatches
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues across the operations function and liaising with other depots to support optimised load planning

About you

You are reliable, organised and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy operational environment. You communicate clearly and confidently, have a professional telephone manner and take a customer focused approach to your work. You are comfortable using Microsoft Office and working with computer systems, and you are able to work accurately under pressure.

Previous experience in transport or logistics is advantageous but not essential. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic and willingness to get stuck in. Good timekeeping, dependability and the ability to work well with others are key to succeeding in this role.
