About the role
Based near Immingham Docks, this role offers the flexibility to choose between general haulage or fridge work with 4o4o, tramping, days or night shifts to suit your lifestyle. As a key link in our international supply chain, you'll work with DFDS-owned trailers and equipment from our terminals and vessels, as part of Northern Europe's largest integrated shipping and logistics network.
Days/Tramping Package
- Basic: Weekly £680.59/£14.48 per hour
- Overtime (Mon - Sat): £15.00 per hour
- Overtime (Sun): £16.52 per hour
- All hours paid for including breaks.
All CPC Training provided by DFDS Killingholme during working hours.
You will be responsible for:
- Safe transport of goods using curtainsider or refrigerated trailers
- Timely collections and deliveries across the UK
- Usage of DFDS apps to give customers real-time updates (For fridge work)
- Monitoring and maintaining correct trailer temperatures
- Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Accurate record-keeping of deliveries and driving hours
- Compliance with all road safety and transport regulations
About you
You're a professional Class 1 Driver who takes pride in doing the job right. Whether your background is in general haulage, fridge work, or both, you're thorough with vehicle checks, safety-conscious, and confident working independently. You're up to date with your CPC, DIGI card, and driving hours, and you bring a customer-first attitude to every job. Experience with ferry trailers or dockside operations is a bonus. This role is ideal for someone seeking steady, well-organised work with a supportive transport team.
