About the role

Working Monday to Friday, 08:30–17:00, you'll take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of warehouse operations, ensuring all inbound and outbound freight is handled safely, accurately, and efficiently. You'll lead a team of colleagues, coordinate operational activities, and work closely with planning and customer-facing teams to deliver high service standards.

You will be responsible for:

  • Supervising all Goods In and Goods Out activities, ensuring freight is checked, scanned, labelled, loaded, and dispatched correctly
  • Planning and coordinating daily warehouse activities to achieve operational and customer deadlines
  • Allocating work effectively across the team based on priorities, volumes, and individual competencies
  • Managing stock control processes, investigating discrepancies, damages, and service issues, and implementing corrective actions where required
  • Producing operational documentation including load plans, manifests, transport paperwork, and warehouse records
  • Leading, coaching, and developing colleagues to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives while promoting high standards of Health & Safety throughout the warehouse

About you

You'll have a strong understanding of Goods In and Goods Out processes, warehouse operations, and stock control, along with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence. Experience managing freight movements, producing operational documentation, and coordinating workloads in a fast-paced environment is essential. You'll be confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and ideally have experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). Knowledge of transport and logistics operations would be advantageous, alongside qualifications such as IOSH, First Aid, Manual Handling, or a logistics-related qualification.

You'll thrive in this role if you're highly organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. A strong communicator and natural problem-solver, you'll take ownership of challenges and make decisions confidently. You'll be customer-focused, approachable, and passionate about maintaining high standards of safety, service, and operational performance. Someone who enjoys improving processes, supporting colleagues, and leading by example will fit perfectly within the team.
