You will play a key role in improving quality of life through advanced symptom management, emotional support, and coordinated care planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist palliative care to patients with complex clinical and psychosocial needs.
- Manage and coordinate a defined patient caseload, ensuring high-quality, individualized care.
- Offer expert advice on pain and symptom control, including physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Support patients and families in discussing and planning end-of-life care preferences.
- Deliver education, mentoring, and training to healthcare staff to enhance palliative care practices.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.
- Act as a key link between hospital services and community-based care providers.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid professional registration.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty (or willingness to complete).
- Significant post-registration clinical experience.
- Proven experience in supportive and palliative care.
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

- Experience in audit, research, or quality improvement is an advantage.
- Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential).
