DF Booking Recruitment Services is presenting an excellent opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 7) in Supportive and Palliative Care based in Harefield, United Kingdom. This role is ideal for highly skilled nurses passionate about delivering specialist, patient-centered care to individuals with complex, life-limiting conditions. You will play a key role in improving quality of life through advanced symptom management, emotional support, and coordinated care planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist palliative care to patients with complex clinical and psychosocial needs
- Manage and coordinate a defined patient caseload, ensuring high-quality, individualized care
- Offer expert advice on pain and symptom control, including physical, emotional, and spiritual support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Support patients and families in discussing and planning end-of-life care preferences
- Deliver education, mentoring, and training to healthcare staff to enhance palliative care practices
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development
- Act as a key link between hospital services and community-based care providers
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse qualification with valid professional registration
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or equivalent)
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant specialty (or willingness to complete)
- Significant post-registration clinical experience
- Proven experience in supportive and palliative care
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Experience in teaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing
- Ability to manage complex patient needs and challenging clinical situations
- Experience in audit, research, or quality improvement is an advantage
- Prescribing qualification (desirable but not essential)
