YOUR NEW ROLE:
Office based: Manchester M4
We are looking for a proactive, delivery‑focused Business Analyst to join our Change and Technology team. You will support a portfolio of projects, small change and continuous improvement initiatives, taking end‑to‑end ownership of business analysis activities from initial problem definition through to delivery. The role requires an individual who can work across multiple initiatives in parallel, quickly understand business problems, assess feasible solutions, and drive outcomes at pace. You will work closely with stakeholders, delivery teams and technical colleagues to ensure improvements are well‑defined, prioritised, and successfully implemented across business processes and systems. This is a hands‑on role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys ownership and accountability, and is motivated by delivering measurable improvements to how the business operates.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Take end‑to‑end ownership of business analysis initiatives, including projects, small change requests and process improvements.
- Shape and clarify business problems, working with stakeholders to define outcomes, success measures and priorities.
- Assess feasibility and impact of proposed changes across people, process, data and technology.
- Plan and manage analysis activities to meet tight timelines and delivery milestones, balancing multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Act as a conduit between the business and technology teams, ensuring clarity of scope, dependencies and delivery approach.
- Analyse, document and challenge current-state processes to identify inefficiencies, risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Own continuous improvement initiatives from idea through to implementation and benefit realisation.
- Design future‑state processes that balance efficiency, control, scalability and customer outcomes.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by proactively identifying issues and proposing pragmatic, workable solutions.
- Lead requirements discovery activities, including stakeholder workshops, interviews and working sessions.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured functional and technical requirements suitable for development and delivery teams.
- Produce high‑quality documentation (process maps, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria) to agreed standards.
- Actively manage requirements through the delivery lifecycle, supporting prioritisation, change control and issue resolution.
- Support testing, implementation and change adoption to ensure solutions deliver intended outcomes.
- Lead and facilitate workshops, design sessions and working groups to shape solutions and drive decisions.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, balancing competing priorities and viewpoints.
- Proactively challenge assumptions and requirements to ensure the right problem is being solved.
- Maintain clear, regular communication to ensure stakeholders remain engaged, informed and aligned throughout delivery.
- Work with Salesforce workflows, automations, and process builder tools (prior experience preferred).
- Assist in designing and testing Salesforce-based solutions to support business operations.
- Use Figma to create wireframes, process maps, and visual documentation.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure user-friendly, intuitive solutions.
Requirements
- Recent degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a business analysis, change, or delivery role, preferably within banking/financial services or a fast‑paced technology environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage workload effectively while maintaining focus on delivery milestones and deadlines.
- Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Comfortable working in a non‑linear manner, adapting priorities as new information and dependencies emerge.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes, from problem definition through to implementation.
- Able to work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality, control, and stakeholder confidence.
- Proactive and delivery‑focused, with the confidence to challenge requirements and drive work forward.
- Highly organised, able to plan and manage analysis activities effectively across competing priorities.
- Confident working independently while collaborating effectively across business and technology teams.
- Proficiency in business analysis and delivery tools such as Jira or Redmine.
- Experience working with Salesforce (CRM) and process‑mapping/design tools including Visio and Figma (or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of process mapping, workflow automation, continuous improvement principles, and control frameworks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience engaging and managing stakeholders across both business and technology teams.
This role requires a Business Analyst who can independently own and drive multiple improvement initiatives at pace, shaping problems, defining solutions, and working hands‑on with stakeholders and delivery teams to turn ideas into outcomes.
