There is an opportunity for a Part 2 designer at muf architecture/art in London. muf has recognised expertise in public realm design at all scales, from master planning and strategic frameworks to urban and landscape design, public buildings, public art, and properly resourced involvement of the people who live in a place. muf’s ‘incremental urbanism’ identifies and builds on existing value through rigorous on-the-ground baseline research. This responsive approach simultaneously articulates assets, nurtures what is there, defines what is missing, and ensures phased delivery of a sustainable future for the widest benefit, even when economic resources are tight.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Collaborating closely with users, clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams – through meaningful co-design and co-making.

Your skills and qualifications:

  • RIBA Part 2
  • Ideally proficient in Vectorworks and Adobe Suite
  • Strong design, visualisation, and organisational skills
  • Ability to write clearly, succinctly, and use spell check
  • Ability to listen and observe existing situations and develop briefs and designs in response
  • Commitment to the design of public realm and other shared spaces and an appetite for the complexity of what it takes to deliver well-designed spaces for all

Who we’re looking for:

Benefits:

  • Access to CPD and professional development opportunities including support for Part 3
  • Accredited GLA Good Work Standard
  • Generous, light-filled working spaces in E8
