Do you enjoy keeping cloud platforms running smoothly just as much as building them? Are you at your best when troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues and making things more reliable the next time around? This role sits within a cloud and technical services team supporting a mix of private datacentre infrastructure and public cloud platforms. It's a hands-on position where operational stability, automation and continuous improvement all matter.

Here's what you'll be working on:

  • Supporting cloud and on-prem infrastructure across private datacentres plus AWS and Azure
  • Monitoring platforms, responding to incidents and meeting uptime SLAs
  • Patching systems, applying updates and improving security posture
  • Deploying and configuring infrastructure using automation and IaC tooling
  • Supporting platform changes, upgrades and new environment rollouts
  • Producing clear documentation and working closely with internal teams and vendors
  • Taking part in an out-of-hours on-call rota once up to speed

Things you'll need:

  • Strong experience supporting Windows and Linux environments
  • Background in cloud or virtualised infrastructure environments
  • Exposure to AWS and or Azure
  • Experience with VMware, Nutanix or similar platforms
  • Comfortable working in structured support environments with SLAs
  • A methodical troubleshooter with good attention to detail
  • Experience with automation tools, container platforms or scripting is a bonus but not essential.

So, why would this be for you?

  • A genuine mix of private cloud and public cloud technologies
  • Genuine well-trodden progression paths through to DevOps and SecOps.
  • Opportunity to work with modern infrastructure tooling without losing the hands-on support element
  • Hybrid working with flexibility once onboarding is complete
  • A role where preventing issues is valued as much as fixing them

If you're an infrastructure or cloud support engineer looking for a role with real technical depth and long-term platform ownership, this one is worth a conversation.
