We are currently looking for a Drillers Assistant / Anchor Grouter to join our operations based out of Bedford, Nova Scotia.Innovative Drilling offers strategic planning, consultation and geotechnical support and services for our clients. Job Summary: The Drillers Assistant / Anchor Grouter will work in the field in our day-to-day operations as part of a team.
DRILLER’S ASSISTANT
We are looking for an experienced individual (min. 1 year construction experience is preferred) to work as a drill helper for our foundation drilling teams.
Performing safety and maintenance checks on equipment
- Setting up of equipment, hoses, pumps, etc.
- Handling drill rods and casing
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Performing equipment maintenance or repairs
- Assist driller with hoses, drill steel, cuttings, etc.
- Heavy lifting is involve
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver\’s license
- Attention to detail and safety
- Not afraid to work in a variety of work environments.
- Be a good team player and able to take instructions well
- Able to show up to work every day and on time
- Forklift / Elevated work platform ticket considered an asset
ANCHOR GROUTER
We are looking for an experienced individual (min. 1 year construction experience) to work as an anchor grouter for our foundation drilling teams.
- Heavy lifting of grout bags is involved
- Installation of threaded bar anchors.
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver\’s license
- Responsible, reliable, conscientious, takes initiative, and eager to learn
- Willing to be a good team player
- Able to show up to work every day and on time
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Forklift / Elevated work platform ticket considered an asset
Working Conditions:
The Drillers Assistant / Anchor Grouter is primarily field work with some shop related work. Field work will require the use of minimum PPE (Hardhat, Steel Toe Boots, reflective vest, etc.). Other PPE might also be necessary and will be driven by the environment of the work sites (specialized PPE, Gas monitors, Fall Arrest and Breathing Apparatus).
