The Municipal Group of Companies, based in Bedford Nova Scotia, is a large, diversified organization engaged in all major aspects of the heavy civil construction, mining and environmental services within the Atlantic Provinces. We are currently seeking the expertise of a Machine Control Technician to join our team.
Job Summary
The Municipal Group of Companies is hiring a Machine Control Technician to assist with ongoing installations and maintenance of our Machine Control Guidance Fleet. The successful candidate will work closely with the various departments/companies to provide support. This position will be based out of Bedford, NS.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the installations and removal of Machine Control on various types of equipment as required throughout Eastern Canada.
- Perform maintenance and repairs to inventory and installed Machine Control systems.
- Assist with Machine Control inventory management.
- Assist with Machine Control training and technical support requirements.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience
- Experience working around heavy equipment.
- Experience with Machine Control Systems considered an asset.
- Familiar with system maintenance and associated preventive measures considered an asset.
- Construction Survey understanding considered an asset.
- Has a proven work ethic and positive attitude.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
