This is a high-impact role for a finance leader who combines strong technical foundations with commercial judgement.

You’ll take ownership of core accounting and reporting while partnering closely with the CFO and wider Finance leadership team to strengthen controls, improve decision-making and build the infrastructure needed for our next stage of growth. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll work closely with the FinOps and Corporate Finance leads and initially manage a team of three accountants, with scope to build and develop the team as the business scales.

Please note: this role requires the successful candidate to be onsite in Wallingford a minimum of 3 days per week.

What you’ll do:

  • Take senior ownership of accounting, reporting and financial controls across our UK, EU and US entities
  • Lead the month-end close, consolidations and management and statutory financial reporting
  • Partner with the CFO and Finance leadership team to provide high-quality financial insight and support strategic decision-making
  • Build and continuously improve scalable finance processes, policies, systems and controls
  • Lead the annual statutory audit and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors
  • Oversee VAT, tax compliance and statutory reporting across multiple jurisdictions
  • Support SOX readiness, investor reporting and financial due diligence
  • Provide technical accounting and financial reporting expertise to support business planning, forecasting and commercial decisions
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, efficiency and visibility across the business
  • Drive automation and systems improvements as Dexory scales
  • Lead, coach and develop the accounting team, creating a high-performing and scalable finance function
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders across the business

What we’re looking for:

  • You’ll bring a strong combination of technical finance expertise, commercial thinking and leadership experience.
  • You may currently be a Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager, with a track record of working in-house within a growing or international business.
  • 8+ years’ relevant accounting, audit, financial reporting or finance experience
  • Strong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
  • Proven experience operating in a senior finance role within a growing or international business
  • Strong understanding of financial controls, risk and governance
  • Experience owning or leading financial reporting and month-end processes
  • Experience managing external audits and senior relationships with auditors and advisors
  • Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of UK/EU VAT; US/Canada sales tax experience is a plus
  • A track record of improving processes, systems, controls and ways of working
  • Experience managing, mentoring and developing finance professionals
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into clear business decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior leadership

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who enjoys building. You’ll be comfortable operating in an environment where processes are still evolving, decisions need to be made quickly and there is significant opportunity to shape how Finance supports the next phase of the business.
