Take ownership of the numbers at a company that’s scaling fast
You’ve learned the ropes. Now you want a role where you own something real, work close to the decisions, and grow quickly. That’s what this is.
We’re a fast-growing, international business with strong foundations and plenty still to build. We’re a place where careers are made: no layers of bureaucracy, no waiting years for responsibility, and the tools and support to do your best work. We’re direct, we keep egos in check, and we care as much about your character as your credentials.
The role
As a Management Accountant, you’ll run a broad slice of our finance function end to end, from the day-to-day ledgers to month-end, VAT and audit. You’ll work closely with teams across the business, and you’ll have the freedom to improve how we do things rather than just follow the process. As we grow, you’ll also help guide more junior colleagues.
Please note: This role will require 3 days per week minimum onsite at our facility in Wallingford.
What you’ll do
- Own accounts payable, payment runs and supplier relationships, keeping everything accurate, well coded and on time
- Run bank, credit card and balance sheet reconciliations, and resolve issues independently
- Play a key part in month-end and year-end close
- Support VAT returns, statutory filings and audit
- Spot where our processes can be faster or smarter, then lead the change, including using AI tools to make finance work more efficient
- Mentor junior team members and help build a strong finance team as we scale
What you’ll bring
- 3-5 years’ experience in a finance or accounting role
- Hands-on experience with month-end/year-end close, balance sheet reconciliations and VAT
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and solid experience with accounting software
- A proactive, ownership mindset and the organisation to juggle priorities
- Clear communication and a collaborative approach
- Part-qualified (AAT, ACCA or CIMA) or working towards it is an advantage
- Curiosity about using AI/LLMs in finance (experience is a bonus, not a barrier)
- Scale-up experience is a plus
Joining our team and company isn't just about expertise; it's about embracing uncertainty with ambition. We're crafting world-changing solutions, fueled by a passion to redefine what's possible. We will look for you to help create and shape the future of logistics solutions through our products, our culture and our shared vision.
Our promise to you
- You will be challenged
- Your learning curve is our responsibility
- You will have fun
- You will be judged by your output
You will receive:
- Private healthcare via Bupa with 24/7 medical helpline
- Life insurance
- Income protection
- Pension with 5% employer contribution
- Employee Assistance Programme - mental wellbeing, financial and legal advice/support
- 25 holidays per year
- Full meals onsite in Wallingford
- Fun team events on and offsite, snacks of all kinds in the office
