What you will be doing:
- Operating CNC machines (lathe or milling) with minimal supervision
- Perform test runs and first-off inspections using micrometers, verniers, and gauges
- Fine-tune offsets, feeds, and speeds to meet specifications
- Troubleshoot issues like tool wear, chatter, or alignment
- Collaborate with programmers and QC to ensure accuracy
- Follow safety and quality standards
You will need:
- 2+ years' experience as a CNC Operator (lathe, milling, or both) for Doosan/Tormach machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
- Confident setting tool offsets and using manual inspection tools
- Basic G-code knowledge and CNC control panel experience (FANUC, etc.)
- A proactive mindset and a passion to grow into setup and programming
Even better if you have:
- Experience setting CNC machines under supervision
- Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or small-batch/high-precision work
- Multi-axis or live tooling machine experience
