Role Summary: The EMEA Applications team are a small but rapidly growing IT team responsible for supporting and implementing small to large changes to our core business systems. These are primarily Oracle Fusion, SalesForce.com, and Oracle Service Cloud connected via a microservices based set of integrations. The core business process that the EMEA Applications team supports is Order to Cash, which requires constant engagement with our Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance colleagues. We have development teams based in Europe, US, and Asia. This role will directly manage teams that support commercial applications and the associated integrations and provide technical leadership. The primary commercial applications are Salesforce for order entry, Fluent for Order Management, a custom-built e-Commerce platform, and integrations technologies including Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and java based microservices. This is a management role that requires a broad technical understanding of both Software as a Service Platforms and connections between them. Previous team leadership experience is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for all people management processes as well as ensuring that expectations of project, small change, and production support demands are met. This position will work closely with Project Managers and the Production Support Manager and third-party consultants to ensure demand is fulfilled in line with overall business priorities. Candidates must have full development lifecycle experience of managing multiple technical disciplines in a global enterprise application setting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Line management duties including recruitment, goal setting, and performance management
- Task co-ordination supporting the Technical Delivery teams and 3rd party development partners
- Liaise with managers/leads of global shared teams to co-ordinate project deliverables
- Work alongside the Production Support Manager to support incident and request resolution SLAs
- Work closely with the Technical Delivery Analyst and IT Project Managers to provision application development capability throughout project lifecycles
- Provide Test Leads with defect management support for incidents, enhancements, and project test cycles.
- Work alongside the Production Support Manager on production releases
- Work alongside the Environments Lead to ensure environments for all workstreams are managed effectively
- Work with global technical architecture teams to represent EMEA business and regional IT needs.
- Ensure compliance with global IT policies, standards, and processes.
- Work with Team Leads to ensure all relevant technical documentation is up-to-date and managed effectively.
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing applications and or integrations teams
- Line management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management and talent development
- Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of various Waterfall / Agile / Hybrid SDLC processes
- Vendor Management, incl Statements of Work, Budgeting, Invoicing etc
- Experience of IT application support processes (ITIL)
- Experience of Salesforce essential, Service-Now and JIRA or equivalent desirable.
- Excellent written/oral communication and relationship management skills
- Drive and enthusiasm with ability to see the bigger picture
- Ability to work flexibly in a demanding and fast paced environment
- Worked in global setting dealing with multi-discipline teams in multiple time zones
Preferred Qualifications:
- Functional knowledge of Order to Cash (O2C) processing including e-Commerce
- Experience of java based microservices beneficial
- Exposure to Salesforce Sales Cloud and Oracle Fusion beneficial
Travel Required: Up to 10%
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 8-12 years of industry experience
- Requires a degree in a technical discipline
- 2-5 years of previous management or lead experience
Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).
