  • Balance short‑term product delivery with long‑term R&D, exploring foundation models and sub‑millimeter navigation for future surgical applications.
  • Scale the engineering team from 6 to 10‑12 by year‑end, building out a high‑performing, cross‑functional group.
  • Navigate the regulatory landscape (FDA Class I/II, HIPAA, ISO 13485) to ensure product compliance and accelerate market access.

What You Bring

  • Direct, hands‑on experience integrating software with real surgical or medical‑grade hardware. Theoretical systems design is not enough.
  • Proven ability to lead and scale an engineering team of 10+ across software, AI/ML, and ideally regulatory functions.
  • Expertise in edge compute and GPUs (e. g., NVIDIA Jetson/AGX), optimizing real‑time pipelines for ultra‑low latency.
