This role is with one of Dex’s trusted Partner companies. The company is building an AI-powered workflow platform designed to eliminate administrative overhead for client-facing professionals. In industries such as recruitment, financial services, and real estate, high-performing individuals spend a disproportionate amount of time on coordination, follow-ups, inbox management, and operational tasks instead of revenue-generating work.
The product integrates directly into core communication workflows and uses contextual intelligence to automate repetitive actions, streamline scheduling, and surface actionable insights. The business has achieved rapid revenue growth over the past 12 months with a lean technical team. It has a strong product–market fit, expanding enterprise usage, and clear ambition to define its category. The team operates with high intensity and focus, maintaining a small, high-calibre engineering group.
The opportunity involves operating at the intersection of product, engineering, and applied AI. You will take ambiguous problems, define the right product solution, build it end-to-end, and ship it into production. There is no traditional product management layer — engineers own both product strategy and execution. You will work directly with models in production, improve output quality, design product features around AI capabilities, and build scalable systems that support growth. This role is designed for engineers who think like founders and want meaningful ownership.
You will:
- Own product features from idea through implementation and iteration
- Work directly with LLMs and modern AI tooling in production environments
- Design and ship AI-powered workflows that improve user outcomes
- Collaborate on model training, evaluation, and improvement loops
- Build and maintain scalable backend and frontend systems
- Translate user pain points into simple, high-impact product decisions
- Contribute to infrastructure and reliability where required
- Move quickly with high autonomy and accountability
What They’re Looking For:
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software
- Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript
- Proven ability to own systems end-to-end
- Experience deploying and operating AI systems in production
- Strong product intuition and user-centric thinking
- Comfort operating without product managers, translating ambiguity into shipped product
- High ownership mindset and ability to operate in a small, high-intensity team
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience working at an early-stage technology company or as a founder
- Experience training or evaluating models directly
- Familiarity with distributed training or inference systems
- Experience building AI-driven workflow automation tools
- Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML tooling (LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, inference optimisation)
- Deep interest in applied AI and product design
Why It’s Compelling:
- Strong salary and equity components
- Direct impact on a product experiencing rapid growth
- High trust and autonomy from day one
- Small, high-performing engineering team
- Clear pathway to accelerated senior responsibility based on performance
