Product Engineer (up to £220k) in London

London Full-Time On-site

This role is with one of Dex's trusted partner companies. We work closely with their teams to truly understand their culture, goals, and what they're looking for, so we can match you with the right opportunity and give you context about the role before you commit to a process.

Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit.

The role

Most autonomous agent products stall out at novelty demos. This company builds an AI employee that lives directly inside Slack and Teams, writes and executes code, and orchestrates workflows across thousands of tools. Backed by a major Series A from leading global venture firms and led by ex-Big Tech founders, the product scaled to eight-figure annualized revenue and thousands of enterprise organizations within weeks of launch.

You will help define how humans collaborate with synthetic teammates: how users delegate tasks, guide execution, correct mistakes, and manage multi-agent workflows. This is not a ticket-clearing position with an army of PMs and specs. You will operate as both product owner and full-stack builder, talking directly to users, identifying conversion drop-offs, and shipping user-facing experiences across existing collaboration tools and upcoming native apps.

The work

  • Define the core delegation and steering interface, giving users clear visibility and control over how autonomous agents execute complex work.
  • Drive onboarding, activation, and virality, uncovering where initial users stall and shipping the features that trigger team-wide adoption.
  • Architect and ship user-facing capabilities across Slack, Microsoft Teams, and upcoming web, desktop, and mobile surfaces.
  • Instrument telemetry, conduct user research, and run rapid experiments directly with the founders, design, and growth teams without middle management.
  • Use state-of-the-art agentic engineering workflows internally to build, test, and ship the product faster.

What You Bring

  • Proven track record shipping user-facing software end to end in production, with demonstrable impact on activation, retention, or conversion metrics.
  • Full-stack competence across TypeScript, React, and Python backend services, with the autonomy to build, test, and deploy independently.
  • Strong product and visual intuition: you catch empty states, refine microcopy, and ship polished interfaces without relying on a designer.
  • Daily practitioner of agentic coding, with informed opinions on models, tooling, and evolving developer workflows.
  • UK-based and able to travel to the company's European hub in Warsaw at least twice a month.
