This role is with one of Dex's trusted partner companies.

We work closely with their teams to truly understand their culture, goals, and what they're looking for, so we can match you with the right opportunity and give you context about the role before you commit to a process.

The role

Healthcare faces a looming crisis: a 10 million person workforce shortfall by 2030, with care coordination still relying on spreadsheets and phone calls.

This company is building AI co‑workers to tackle that administrative burden, already deployed in over 40 hospitals within 18 months.

They’re backed by leading investors and led by a team from Palantir, Google Deep Mind, and Apple.

You’ll join a lean team building the “system of action” for healthcare, owning end‑to‑end delivery of AI workflows.

This isn’t a pure backend or frontend role; you’ll be full‑stack, often onsite with customers, translating ambiguous needs into shipped product.

Expect direct access to the CEO and immediate ownership: what you build and what you identify as broken is yours to fix.

  • The work
  • Own end-to-end delivery of AI workflows, from ambiguous requirements to deployed product.
  • Translate non-technical input from healthcare administrators into high-quality, shippable solutions.
  • Work directly with customers, often onsite, to understand problems and deploy AI co‑workers.
  • Bring field learnings and customer feedback directly into the core product roadmap.
  • Work across the full stack: Python (Fast API), Type Script + React, and Postgres.

What you bring

  • Deep empathy for healthcare administrators and a drive to fix the sector’s systemic problems.
  • Proven ability to take ambiguous, non-technical input and ship high-quality product quickly.
  • Full-stack proficiency: Python (Fast API), Type Script + React, and Postgres.
  • A strong bias for action: you fix what’s broken, rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Willingness to work 5 days a week in person, either in the London office or onsite with customers.

How to prepare for a job interview at Dex

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Dex uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
