Sell the matching thesis - get deep on how Dex builds richer candidate profiles than a CV or a public profile allows, and show Heads of Talent and Founders why that produces hires that stick.

Define ICP and territory - identify the engineering-led companies and AI startups where Dex wins, sharpen who we go after, and build the account map from the ground up.

Close the loop with the team - relay what the market is telling you to the Founders, Product, and Talent Operations teams; leverage customer signal to improve how we sell and what we build.

Build the commercial toolkit - messaging, CRM process, case studies, forecasting; the early infrastructure a scaling revenue team will inherit.

What We're Looking For

  • Track record of independent delivery - you can own and close deals end-to-end with minimal supervision; your track record shows quota carried, hit, and beaten.
  • Commercial judgment under ambiguity - you balance speed, deal quality, and long-term account value; you build structure where none exists and make the pragmatic call when a deal needs to move.
  • Pipeline discipline - you source your own pipeline, forecast honestly, and treat follow-through and CRM hygiene as standard practice, not a later concern.
  • Selling to technical and founder buyers β€” heads of talent, hiring managers, founders, and engineering leaders, where credibility matters more than a script.
  • Sales tooling β€” CRM-native (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) and comfortable with prospecting platforms like Apollo or Clay.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling recruiting, HR, or talent products.
  • Background as an early or founding sales hire at a fast-scaling startup.
  • A network across the UK tech and AI startup ecosystem.
  • Comfort with agency or services-shaped commercial models, not just pure SaaS.

The Motion

Dex is an AI talent agent for technical hiring: we hold real conversations with candidates and hiring teams, build richer profiles than a CV allows, and match on fit, charging companies only when a hire actually lands. The commercial model is agency-shaped, not SaaS, so you're selling outcomes, not seats. We're a small, senior team backed by Notion Capital, a16z Speedrun, and Concept Ventures, working hybrid from London with offices opening in New York and San Francisco. We move fast, iterate directly with customers, and keep the motion clean.

We'll describe the role and business in more detail before digging into your background to understand where your experience overlaps with our core requirements. A call with the hiring manager for the role, we'll share more context for the short and medium objectives in the role and you can expect some deeper questions relative to the role requirements. Most roles involve a practical task - more detail will be shared on the specifics but usually these are completed offline and reviewed by the team. Onsite interview loop where you'll visit the office, meet a cohort of the team, have an interview centred on the task you produced, another on Dex culture and values, and meet with one of the senior team members or Paddy, our Founder.
