The Opportunity
Dex is partnering with a rapidly growing Series B company that is fundamentally redefining the CRM landscape for the AI era. Backed by Tier-1 global investors (the same behind Uber, Stripe, and Slack), they are building a "real-time first" platform that combines the power of a database with the usability of consumer social apps. This is a role for an Engineering Lead who refuses to compromise on quality, joining a team that obsesses over real-time infrastructure, massive data synchronization, and an interface that feels instant.
What You’ll Work On
- Lead a High-Performance Team: Balance hands-on individual contribution with the leadership of a focused, elite team of engineers. You will set the tempo, technical standards, and culture.
- Architect for Scale: Design and evolve complex, event-driven architectures capable of handling massive data throughput and real-time synchronization across millions of entities.
- Bridge Product & Engineering: Operate with high autonomy, making critical product decisions based on direct customer feedback and translating them into technical reality.
- Build the Team: Play a pivotal role in recruiting and developing world-class engineering talent, fostering an environment of rigorous thinking and rapid execution.
- Drive End-to-End Delivery: Own the full lifecycle of critical features.
What You'll Have
- Technical, Hands On Experience: Deep, demonstrable expertise in modern cloud architectures and the full web stack. You are most comfortable in TypeScript/Node.js or Go on the backend, and/or React on the frontend.
- System Design: Proven experience designing secure, scalable, and reliable backend systems on GCP or AWS. You understand the nuances of distributed systems and real-time data.
- Leadership DNA: You have a track record of not just writing code, but growing great engineers. You know how to influence technical decisions and unblock your team.
- Product Fluency: You don’t wait for a spec sheet. You understand the business context and communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders clearly.
- Rigorous Thinking: You thrive on complex problems. You care about the "why" behind the architecture and strive for elegance in complexity.
- Ambition: You want to work at the bleeding edge of the AI-native shift, building tools that define how the next generation of go-to-market teams operate.
