A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a young boy living at home with my Mum and siblings in the Llanrumney area of Cardiff. I am non-verbal and have a diagnosis of autism. I love being outdoors even if it’s just watching the trees blow in the wind. I love the beach, anything to do with water and nature. I enjoy jumping around and being active. I am a very happy child but I can become distressed when I can’t communicate my needs. I tend to run off if you let go of my hand & I run like Usain Bolt. (Catch me if you can). I don’t see danger & can run into oncoming traffic. But I will hold your hand when outside. I love peppapig & Toy Story! I’m not a fan of soft play if there full, & I don’t like loud noises.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To support me out in the community and to encourage me to socialise.

To ensure I am safe at all times.

Care will take place at first in the home to build up a trusting bond, this is something that is really important to my mum.

PLACE OF WORK

In my home and out in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

3 hours per week term time.

6 hours per week non term time.

This is a relief post to cover annual leave and sickness.

RATE OF PAY

£14.75 per hour.

  • Ensuring I’m safe & supervised at all times.
  • To have fun and keep me stimulated.
  • Personal care.
