I am seeking personal assistants to support me within the home and accompany me for car journeys and local trips. This will also provide my wife with some respite.
Hours of Work: 15 hours per week. One shift will include a Thursday from 9 AM to 3 PM; the rest of the hours are flexible. Looking for two PAs to cover the hours.
Rate of Pay: £15.70 per hour
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sitting support to provide company
- Ensure I feel safe and comfortable at home
- Support me in a calming manner when tired or confused
- Meal and drink preparation
- Taking me out in the car and possibly to the pub
- Social stimulation and companionship (at home and possibly in the community)
- Any other practical tasks as time allows
- Ensuring my safety at all times
Person Specification:
- Experienced in, or knowledgeable about, my medical condition
- Energetic and talkative
- Patient and understanding
- Comfortable working in a home with dogs
- Car driver/owner with satisfactory insurance
About the Job: Though a part-time job, this role requires a National Insurance number and a trial period. The wage will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. Post subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) check, which will be covered by the employer. Relevant checks to confirm right to work in the UK will be carried out.
