A personal assistant is required for a lady living in Llandaff North, Cardiff. She is a single parent to two children and a teenager. They are a 2nd language Welsh speaking home with English being their first language.
HOURS OF WORK
7 hours p/w total. Hours to be discussed, likely spread across school-term weekdays with some flexibility.
RATE OF PAY
£14.80 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
- Occasional support around school runs (morning and/or afternoon), including helping her get to and from school.
- General physical/practical support with everyday tasks in the home.
- Light household tasks – e.g. tidying, dishes, basic cleaning and keeping on top of day-to-day jobs.
- Shopping assistance – accompanying her to the supermarket or local shops, helping carry shopping.
- Support with getting out and about with the children – local walks, parks, community activities and appointments.
- Occasional support with appointments or meetings where an extra pair of hands is helpful.
- Support with meal preparation.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
- Kind, patient and approachable, with a good sense of humour.
- Comfortable around children and happy to be in a busy family environment.
- Experience of working with children (e.g. in schools, childcare, youth work, care) is desirable.
- Comfortable around dogs – There is a friendly family dog in the home.
- Reliable, punctual and able to maintain appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
- Respectful of her home, her children and their routines.
