A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I’m a gentleman in my early 40’s, who is a wheelchair user due to an accident which resulted in a spinal cord injury. I have no feeling from the waist down and limited movements with my hands but can use a knife and fork. My interests include sports especially football and rugby. I enjoy music like ‘The Cranberries’ and ‘Alanis Morissette’. I will be going to the gym in Llantrisant Community Centre to help build up strength.
PURPOSE OF JOB
I am looking for a Personal Assistant to assist with taking me out and help me in my home. (Llanharry area)
HOURS OF WORK
To cover my current PA\’s annual leave and sickness.
RATES OF PAY
£11.80 per hour
TASKS INVOLVED
- Ensure that all my needs are met
- Support with daily tasks
- Support me within my home and out in the community
- Ensure I am safe at all times
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
- Friendly, outgoing, positive and likes sports
- Someone with a mature outlook
- Reliable and punctual
- Considerate, caring and trustworthy
- Understanding of my needs
- Experience or knowledge of how my spinal cord injury affects me
- Car driver/Access to a car to transport employer
