I am a gentleman in my mid 70’s living with my wife in the Aberaman area. I have a very pleasant demeanour, but have short term memory due to a Stoke, which also impacts my choice of words. I enjoy reminiscing, chatting about holidays spent and past employment. I like most music, but I favour Pavarotti. I join in with TV quizzes and enjoy watching daytime TV.

PURPOSE OF JOB

My wife is my main carer. This is a sitting service to provide me with company for my wife to have some respite.

HOURS OF WORK

4 hours per week worked in 1 afternoon

RATES OF PAY

£13.50 per hour

TASKS INVOLVED

• Sit with me and provide me with company
• Making a cup of coffee or tea
• Emptying urine catheter bag when necessary
• Assisting me with my walking frame to access commode
• Ensure my safety at all times

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

• Male PA due to personal care
• Someone with a mature attitude
• Someone who is chatty and with similar interests
