A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

My son is 8 years old and has a diagnosis of Autism and is non-verbal. He lives at home with Mummy, Daddy and his little sister. His behaviours are challenging and he is missing out on interaction within the community as he tends to run off or have a breakdown if a place is overcrowded or he feels he is not being understood, he can also become over stimulated. He also has no awareness of danger. He enjoys going to the park at quieter times and also enjoys going for walks and swimming.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To keep me safe in my home and out in the community and to keep me stimulated.

PLACE OF WORK

In my home and out in the community.

HOURS OF WORK

Relief cover is required, for sickness and annual leave anything.

RATE OF PAY

£14.75 per hour.

TASKS INVOLVED

Support me to access the community.

To support me to do activities that I still enjoy and engage with me and to ensure I am safe.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

Someone who is friendly and patient.

Someone who is trustworthy.

Someone who has an understanding of Austistic Spectrum Disorder.

A female PA is required due to some possible aspects of Personal Care.

A car driver and owner is essential.
