I am looking for a kind, reliable, and patient Personal Assistant to support me in my home and, when possible, accompany me to the golf club.
Hours of Work: 8.5 hours per week. Daily support required (excluding Wednesdays). Approximately one hour per day around lunchtime.
Rate of Pay: £15.20 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care (showering, oral hygiene, dressing).
- Assist with medication.
- Prepare a light meal (e.g., sandwich).
- Check the fridge for out-of-date items while I am washing.
- Provide companionship and social interaction.
- Accompany me to the golf club once a week.
- Assist with light practical tasks as time allows.
- Ensure my safety and wellbeing at all times.
Person Specification:
- Understanding of dementia.
- Kind, patient and reliable.
- Good sense of humour and enjoy friendly banter.
- Driver required with business class insurance.
- National Insurance number required.
- DBS (Police) Check required before employment commences.
About the Job: This is a part-time role requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four weekly and appropriate holiday pay will be provided. The post is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS (Police) Check before employment can commence. The cost of this will be met by the employer. Relevant checks will be carried out to ensure any applicant has the right to work in the UK.
