I require a personal assistant who will support me in the community to access courses, do essential shopping and possibly attend occasional cinema trips while encouraging my independence outdoors. I also need assistance in travelling outside of the local area for historical visits to help with my studies.
Place of Work: Both in my home and in the community as required.
Hours of Work: 10 hours per week, including a compulsory weekend shift either every Sunday or alternate Saturday and Sunday. Remaining hours to be arranged flexibly between employer and PA, with some availability for late-afternoon/evening shifts for evening courses or leisure classes.
Rate of Pay: £14.00 per hour (weekend rate). £13.00 per hour for weekday work. 40p mileage allowance.
Tasks Involved / Responsibilities:
- Commitment of at least 6 months (not suitable for short-term employment or a stop-gap).
- Ability to travel outside local area.
- Reliability and trustworthiness.

Additional Information: Position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check) which will be completed prior to commencement. Employment requires a National Insurance number and will commence after an initial trial period. Wages paid monthly and holiday pay provided.
