To support me out in the community, encourage my independence and living skills. Also to ensure my mum knows I am safe. Reminding and assisting me to use the toilet. Sometimes I can have a toileting accident so you will need to assist me. You are fully responsible for keeping me safe in the community and being mindful of possible danger around us as I do not understand any of this.

Responsibilities

  • Awareness and understanding of childcare and safety
  • Patient, kind and friendly
  • You must be sensible, mature and reliable
  • Full UK driver's license and access to a car is essential
  • 3 hours per week during term-time
  • 9 hours per week for the 6 weeks summer holidays
  • 6 hours per week for all other school holidays, the remaining 7 weeks

Compensation and Hours

RATE OF PAY: £13.00 per hour and 0.40p a mile when I am in the car with you.

Conditions

  • This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
  • All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
  • Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
  • Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
