Personal Assistant

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 10 year old girl living in the Miskin area. I live with my parents, and my brother aged 15 along with our 2 cats.

I am seeking a personal assistant to support me out in the local community. I have a diagnosis of autism, ADHD, PICA and I am non-verbal.

I struggle to recognise risks and keep myself safe so will require support in this area, I usually go out with family but I am looking forward to gain some independence and developing my social skills without my family. I can become overstimulated and may display behaviours that challenge, so need two people with me at all times.

I am non-verbal but can communicate in other ways- I use my iPad to type sentences to show what I want or I will use Makaton.

PURPOSE OF JOB

To support and assist me out in the local community. You will work alongside a second person, 2:1.

HOURS OF WORK

3 hours per FORTNIGHT

RATE OF PAY

£13.50 per hour and 0.40p a mile.

Taking me swimming
Going to the park
I like to go and see chickens
I enjoy going shopping to buy toys
I like going for food to McDonalds or somewhere that serves steak

ABOUT THE JOB

This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.

All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.

Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.

Wages will be paid on a monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
