I am a lady in my early eighties living in Llantwit Major with my Chihuahua. I have arthritis in my spine which causes mobility problems and I can’t stand for long periods of time. I recently had a stroke which has unfortunately further decreased my mobility. I used to love going for walks and playing tennis but can now only go out with the support of a PA, but like just going out in the car and being able to take my dog somewhere he can run around. I now use a scooter for all trips outside of the house.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To provide me with domestic support around my home, some occasional personal care and accompanying me out and about.
HOURS OF WORK
There are 8 hours per week available. Hours to be worked in blocks shifts over 2 - 3 days, days and times flexible. 2 weekends per month is essential. Additional hours available to cover annual leave and sickness of other staff.
RATES OF PAY
£15.20 per hour
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
- Cleaning tasks around my home
- Changing my bedding
- Accompanying me shopping
- Putting my shopping away
- Preparing me a meal
- Some occasional personal care will be required
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
- Someone who will be reliable and trustworthy

ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority. All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins. Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period. Wages will be paid on a four-weekly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
