Purpose of the Role
I am seeking a Personal Assistant to help me build independence, develop basic life skills, and access community and social activities.
Hours of Work
5 hours per week, ideally on Fridays (flexible).
Rates of Pay
£17 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Take me out into the community (pub, gym, shopping).
- Support me in learning basic life skills.
- Encourage self-reliance and independent tasks.
- Teach skills for independence.
- Assist with public transport usage.
- Practice speech therapy sessions.
- Go for walks with my dog when weather allows.
Required Profile
- Driver with Business Class insurance.
- Comfortable working with a dog at home.
- Patient and willing to build a relationship.
- Non-smoker.
- Kind, friendly, reliable, and punctual.
Additional Information
Part-time position requires a valid National Insurance number. A trial period is necessary initially. Salary will be paid on a four-weekly basis with appropriate holiday pay. A DBS (Police) Check will be conducted before employment commences, with the cost covered by the employer (Local Authority). The necessary checks will be carried out to confirm the right to work in the UK.
