A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF

I am a 23-year-old man living in the Llantrisant area. I am a friendly person when you get to know me. I have lots of interests which include going to the beach and visiting castles as I love to take pictures. I drive my own car and would like to try new places. I would like a Personal Assistant to go shopping with me and to assist me with meal planning and making my own meals. I love Michael Jackson and support Liverpool Football Club, so I will often speak about them. I have Autism, so I am not good with large crowds of people and too much noise and may run off if I get overwhelmed, so I need someone who is aware of that when we are out.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To assist and support me out in the community and at home with meal preparation.

HOURS OF WORK

7 hours a week, ideally 2 shifts a week.

RATES OF PAY

£15.00 per hour plus mileage when using own car.

TASKS CAN INCLUDE

  • Help me to pay for items with my card.
  • Be aware of my safety as I tend to run off.
  • Assist with meal prep.

TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED

  • Someone who is chatty and has a good personality.
  • A person who is reliable and punctual.
  • Someone with experience or knowledge of autism.
  • An understanding person.

ABOUT THE JOB

This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid for four weeks in return for a pay slip provided by the Centre for Independent Living. You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
