The predicted salary is between 12 - 15 £ per hour.

You will provide respite for the applicant’s wife, who is the primary carer. Your support will be both inside and outside the home to give her a short break. All legal checks will be completed before employment begins, and wages and holiday pay will be provided accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confident and direct communication to the patient and the applicant.
  • Use social skills to engage and support the patient in everyday activities.
  • Lead and initiate conversations, actively keeping the patient engaged.
  • Give reassurance and guidance when needed.
  • Remain proactive, problem‑solving on your own initiative in various situations.
  • Use personal vehicle to transport the patient for outings if required.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience with dementia is preferred, either personal or work‑related.
  • Flexible and able to accommodate shifts, days and times that may change with short notice.
  • Must own a car and be willing to use it for work purposes.
  • Must provide satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check).
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Must submit a National Insurance number.
  • Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
  • The position is part‑time but requires formal employment and National Insurance number submission.
  • All necessary checks will be conducted to verify eligibility and legal right to work.
