Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily housework such as ironing, bathroom and kitchen cleaning, and garden tasks.
  • Provide support for community outings including visits to events, shopping, church, and food-related activities.
  • Ensure personal safety and mobility support, including traveling with a stick.
  • Help with knitting by reading patterns for the client.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s licence and basic insurance.
  • Independent, proactive, and encouraging to support the client’s activities.
  • Comfortable working in a home with a cat, hamster, and fish.
  • Respectful of privacy and confidentiality when working in another person’s home.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Experience or confidence working with mental health is a bonus.

Working Hours

  • 4 hours per week, flexible scheduling.

Compensation

  • £14.50 per hour, paid four‑weekly upon submission of a payslip.

Additional Information

  • A National Insurance number is required, and an initial six‑month trial period will be introduced.
  • The position is subject to an enhanced DBS (police) check, and training may be required if identified by the employer.
