About the Opportunity: Our client, a leader in Healthcare and Life Sciences, is looking for a skilled AI Engineer to join their team for a permanent engagement. This project involves developing and deploying cutting‑edge artificial intelligence solutions that can make a meaningful impact in healthcare and life sciences. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role that requires a self‑motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly, blending research, engineering, problem‑solving, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Design and implement production‑ready AI agents that interact with scientific data, tools, and APIs.
- Build scalable machine learning infrastructure and implement MLOps practices, including model versioning, monitoring, and automated retraining.
- Collaborate with product management and scientific teams to identify high‑impact opportunities and translate scientific requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure AI systems meet regulatory compliance requirements relevant to biotech and healthcare, aligning with FDA and other regulatory frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3‑5 years of experience in machine learning engineering with production deployment experience.
- Deep expertise in Python, relevant ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or equivalent), and hands‑on experience building or fine‑tuning large models (transformers, diffusion, multimodal).
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively to meet project goals, with experience in startup or fast‑paced environments.
- Experience with creating AI agents and multi‑agent systems, proficiency in data engineering tools, and practical experience deploying models as services.
- Strong communication skills to provide clear and concise status updates to the project team and present to both technical and business audiences.
- 2+ years of experience applying AI/ML in biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare domains, with familiarity with biological data types and analysis pipelines.
