About the Role: The HR Advisor provides essential support to the HR function, ensuring the smooth delivery of HR services across the employee lifecycle. Acting as a key contact for HR queries, the role offers accurate advice to employees and managers, helping to uphold policy compliance and best practice. This role will appeal to a proactive HR professional who values variety in their work, and who is looking for a great culture to work within.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Comprehensive HR Support
  • Act as first point of contact for HR Queries
  • Advise Line Managers on HR Policy and best practice
  • Coordinate HR administration processes
  • Prepare HR metrics and business reports
  • Maintain accurate HR and training records
  • Lead absence management activities
  • Manage HR and payroll systems
  • Support strategic HR initiatives and projects
  • Promote employee engagement and wellbeing projects

About You:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to apply sound judgement and maintain confidentiality
  • Collaborative team player with a professional, adaptable, and solution-focused approach
  • Proactive and innovative mindset, with a genuine interest in contributing to the success of the HR function and wider business
  • Solid understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and compliant manner
  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, with exposure to a broad range of HR activities
  • Experience working in a unionised environment is advantageous
  • Prior experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable
  • Educated to further or higher education level in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • CIPD Level 5 membership (or working towards) is desirable
