The Development Technician will support Project Leaders & Technologists in the delivery of new products that deliver value for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for safe operation of pilot and manufacturing equipment during experimental gel manufacture, extrusion and shirring trials.
  • Provide input to problem solving process in areas of safety, manufacturing product and quality.
  • Provide support to Project Leaders and Technologists to deliver project goals.
  • Document and maintain records as required by Quality system.
  • Assist in training Process Operators in the use of new equipment and manufacture of new products.
  • Support Laboratory team by carrying out physical testing of finished products.

About You:

Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and guide process operators on different aspects of projects.

Knowledge: A3 problem solving or gel manufacture would be advantageous.

Experience: The successful candidate will be competent in process operation from extrusion through to reeling and on and off-line shirring. Experience in primary processing, gel manufacture, pressure manage systems and/or solutions are preferable. Experience in problem solving or continuous improvement projects advantageous and particularly in the shirring area.
