GM/Head of Studio in London

Devoted Studios is a US-based game development company specializing in Co-development, Porting, and End-to-End Art Production for the global gaming industry. We are seeking an experienced GM/Head of Studio to lead our studio's direction, performance, and success. This role blends operational, creative, strategic, managerial, and business responsibilities. This individual will have experience both in game development and at a service provider (codev or art outsourcing studios). As a key member of our senior management team, reporting directly to the CEO, you will drive the execution of the company's strategy, ensure alignment across verticals, and manage diverse business operations to achieve sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Vision: Develop and communicate a clear vision for the studio, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives. Formulate strategic plans to guide the studio's growth, development, and market positioning. Explore and identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and potential areas for growth.
• Studio Management: Drive day-to-day studio operations and cross-department collaboration: oversee IT, Legal, Production, HR, Recruitment. Streamline operations within the service departments; ensure that processes are efficient, well-defined, easily adopted, and quickly learned by new team members. Develop, implement, and monitor a system of operational KPIs across departments, ensuring alignment with the company's strategy and scale plan.
• Team Management: Drive recruitment, hire, and management of an extraordinary team of professionals. Foster a culture of curiosity, accountability, and teamwork, that encourages efficiency and innovation. In collaboration with HR, support ongoing training and professional development opportunities for studio employees.
• Strategic Financial Management: Develop and execute Studio strategy to achieve revenue and margin targets. Take ownership of the Studio P&L. Provide monthly Studio management reporting, quarterly Studio forecasting, and annual Studio budgeting processes.

Key Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a GM, Head of Studio or relevant role, with solid experience as a Project Manager, Producer and/or PMO in the video games industry.
• Strong tactical acumen, with the ability to foresee potential issues and create strategic plans to overcome them.
• Proven track record in strategic planning and business growth.
• Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Key Experience:

• Proven leadership background in game development and 3-4 years experience at a service provider.
• 10+ years of experience in the games or entertainment industry.
• 6+ years in an executive or senior leadership role.
• Experience in service-oriented environments as a Project Manager, Producer, or Executive Producer.
