Mid-level Platform solid Linux fundamentals (deeper experience a plus). Proficient in a scripting language such as PowerShell, with experience automating operational workflows. Sound understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management (Entra ID / IAM) and network security. Understanding of application architectures and CI/CD workflows, and how infrastructure aligns with them. Experience working closely with development delivery teams in an agile environment, using tooling such as Jira and Confluence to manage and track work. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders. AI‑literate, with the ability to adopt and apply AI‑assisted engineering tooling (e.g. GitHub Copilot, AI coding assistants and agents) to accelerate delivery, automation and documentation, and a willingness to keep pace with an evolving AI toolset. Able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams – balancing project delivery, BAU and support commitments – prioritising effectively and working independently across competing demands. Able to participate in the on‑call rota – on‑call is a requirement of this role. Experience operating in a regulated financial services or otherwise highly governed environment. Certification in Azure, AWS or DevOps practices. Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes (AKS), ArgoCD and containerised services. Experience with Ansible for configuration management and DR tooling. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost‑management best practice. Experience integrating AI or agentic tooling into engineering workflows (e.g. IaC generation, automated remediation, or documentation). Exposure to compliance‑evidence or governance tooling and incident‑management tooling. Additional Information This is a hybrid role, with attendance at our Leeds office once a month. Participation in the on‑call rota is a requirement of this role; standing on‑call allowances apply.
