Paragon are recruiting for an experienced Technical Project Manager to manage Technology Project delivery to time, quality and cost following set governance and adhering to required standards.

Responsibilities

  • Takes responsibility for the definition, governance and control of Technology projects, using the agreed formal Project Management methodology.
  • Creates, maintains and manages necessary project documentation including PID, Project Plan, RAID, Budget Summary and Project Change Tracker.
  • Manages the Project Plan and adherence to committed dates and deliverables.
  • Takes responsibility for delivery of agreed milestones, escalating when appropriate.
  • Manages actual and forecasted budget and tracks benefits realisation throughout the project.
  • Identifies, quantifies and manages risks to the success of the project, and reports against these in a RAID log.
  • Coordinates the development of countermeasures and contingency plans for risks and issues.
  • Creates appropriate project schedule and resource allocation plans using Microsoft Project.
  • Ensures that Project Plans and Project Status Reports are prepared and maintained and provides regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as required.
  • Manages the Project Change Request procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and quality metrics.
  • Ensures Service Acceptance Criteria are set and adhered to for project deployment.
  • Provides effective leadership to the project team and takes appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances.
  • Creates business go live readiness plan and gains necessary buy-in from required approvers.
  • Effective communication with all project stakeholders – internal and external (customer).
  • Ensures all project stakeholders are aware of progress, issues/risks and dependencies.
  • Provides weekly Project Status reports and communications to Sponsor and stakeholders.
  • Chairs Monthly Steering Board for project delivery as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience of Project Managing in a technology delivery environment.
  • Prince 2 Practitioner/APM Practitioner.

Required Skills

  • Able to understand and deliver Technology Application and Infrastructure project portfolio.
  • Able to review and understand technical documentation, identify delivery tasks and create project delivery plan.
  • Experience of deploying/migration to Cloud infrastructure – Azure, AWS, OCI (Oracle).
  • Experience of on-premise infrastructure deployment/refresh – Networks (Firewall, switches), Server hosting hardware.
  • Experience of IT change and migration projects.
  • Experience of managing infrastructure upgrade projects, OS upgrades across windows and unix estate.
  • Knowledge of deploying to regulated environments – PCI/CDE.
  • Able to manage change effectively, articulates justification and impact of change and can develop a communication plan to build buy-in.
  • Able to negotiate agreements with clients or internal stakeholders.
  • Has a broad understanding of the Technologies PCC deploy and the markets in which we operate.
  • Able to present technical information in a user friendly format.
  • Builds strong relationships with team members, ensuring the team understand the goal and benefits of the work they are delivering.
  • Able to facilitate problem solving sessions and manage to conclusion.

Pay range £55K-£65K Depending on experience

JOB LOCATION: Remote, with site/office visits when necessary
