Our client, a leading communications company in Nottingham is looking for a Stitcher Operator to join their team.

As the Stitcher Operator, your role will be pivotal in upholding the highest standards of quality and efficiency, while managing the operation of a Stitching Machine and associated equipment, maintaining quality, efficiency and safety at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Verification of job specifications on the machine, ensuring accuracy in code and version.
  • Securing an “OK to Proceed” post-make-ready, liaising with the Cell Leader or Finishing BUC
  • Vigilant monitoring and maintenance of the work’s quality, with an eye for detail.
  • Adjustment of machine settings to sustain both quality and output, while optimising machine speed.
  • Organising the machine area, leading any assigned staff effectively, and completing all required documentation in line with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Skills Required:

  • A City and Guilds qualification or equivalent, showcasing your technical prowess.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills are essential for precise communication and calculations.
  • A robust understanding of Health and Safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, facilitating clear instructions and feedback.
  • A commitment to quality and a keen focus on continuous improvement.
  • This is a Permanent role, paid weekly – where you will be working on 3 shift rotations:

  • Morning Shift: 06.00 to 13.30 (6.00 to 12.30 on Friday)
  • Afternoon shift: 13.30 to to 19.00 on Friday)
  • Night Shift: 21.00 to 06.00 (Monday to Thursday)
  • The shifts will rotate weekly, so one week you will be working on mornings then nights then afternoons and so on – please only apply if you can cover all shift patterns.
