Job Overview
As a CCM Quality Analyst for a Global omni-channel communications business, you will be responsible for checking new print development applications or changes to existing applications supplied from the Customer Communications Management Development Team and exhibit the correct business functionality, logic and ensure applications are compliant with print specifications and production rules.
This role is based out of Paragon’s Manchester office with a Hybrid approach and reporting to the CCM Quality Analysis Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhering to the applicable CCM Quality Analysis Team workflow and rules for the application or process change under test and development.
- Following departmental standard test plans or designing bespoke test plans as required for new conversions and change requests.
- Taking responsibility for seeing through testing of large-scale changes.
- Completing admin tasks such as timesheets, tracking documents and loggers. Checking the testing pipeline at regular intervals to keep abreast of outstanding work.
- Acting as CCM Quality Analysis Team representative at internal and external project and BAU meetings as required.
- Being pro-active when dealing with outstanding work, organising time effectively and re-prioritising as necessary.
- Communicating effectively with all team members relevant to the Software Lifecycle such as developers, code release teams and client services representatives.
Skills and Attributes we are looking for
- An excellent eye for detail and a logical, inquisitive mind.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- An understanding of the Software Lifecycle and the production BAU processes to be able to apply this knowledge to checks.
- Able to read and interpret data in all expected forms e.g. TXT, CSV, XML, AFP, PDF.
- Able to comfortably use Microsoft Windows and the Microsoft Office suite to an intermediate level.
- Able to become proficient in the use of software relevant to checking activity, such as DiffPDF, Beyond Compare and utilise ASCII text editors such as Ultraedit, TextPad and Notepad++ and use PDF viewers/editors such as Adode Acrobat ProDC.
- Be confident, resourceful and diligent when checking any work and be tenacious in pursuing answers to queries or concerns about print output.
Print industry or related experience would be advantageous but not essential.
BCS-ISTQB Foundation certification and above would be desirable but not essential.
