Are you a skilled Engineer with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for maintenance and repair? Our client, a leading company in the heart of Nottingham is looking for a team of Engineers who have a strong background in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering to support and enhance their plant operations. As the Engineer, you will apply your Electrical/Mechanical Engineering expertise to ensure the smooth functioning of all plant equipment. Your hands-on approach will be crucial in carrying out planned preventive maintenance and responding to breakdowns efficiently, ensuring all equipment is safe and fit for purpose.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform planned preventive maintenance on plant and facilities.
- Address reactive breakdowns promptly, minimising downtime.
- Guarantee the safety and readiness of equipment post-repair.
- Uphold a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
Skills Required:
- Relevant degree or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in electrical fault finding on various components and circuits.
- Mechanical diagnostic and repair skills across a diverse range of machinery.
- Ability to interpret schematics and mechanical drawings with competence.
As the site Engineer, you will not only maintain equipment but also provide invaluable support to your team, manage resources with efficiency, and engage in project work. Your flexibility to adapt to shift changes and take on responsibility in the absence of the Engineering Manager will be key. This is a Permanent role, paid weekly β Each week you will work 3 x 12 hour shifts, rotating from 1800 Sunday to 1800 Saturday (one week, days/one week, nights and so on).
