Job Overview
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Deputy Team Leader to join the team at Paragon\’s Client site, a leading multinational insurance company, based in Sheffield.
The Deputy Team Leader is required to support teams across the range of onsite services and therefore the role requires a flexible individual capable of working within the team but also stepping up to manage the team during any Team Leader/ Senior Team Leader absence.
Hours: Monday to Friday either 8am-5pm or 9am – 6pm
Your main duties would include:
- Deliver services to the required Service Levels (SLAs) and high quality standards
- Support the Team Leader to manage the team and ensure all team members are adequately trained
- Ensure all processes are followed accurately and to flag any process or service failures to line manager
- Represent Paragon positively at all times demonstrating professionalism and pride in the service
- Provide technical and process support to the team, and flexible and responsive assistance to colleagues
- Deal with client issues escalated from the team promptly, keeping the Team Leader informed and escalating when necessary
- Provide constructive feedback on team members to support the Team Leader in 1:1 and performance reviews
- Assist the Team Leader in maintaining adequate service cover across all areas particularly during periods of holiday and sickness within the team
- Maintain good working relationships with clients and liaise with them in a professional and helpful manner at all times to resolve enquiries escalated by the team
- Fully adhere to operational processes and Paragon and Aviva policies
- Be aware of safe working practices, and maintain a tidy and safe work area and ensure servicing of all equipment is carried out safely and on time
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and delivering areas for change to quality or service
- Ensure all required stock levels/consumables are maintained and any damaged or faulty equipment is reported to your line manager promptly
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by line manager and lead the team and take on the duties of the Team Leader in their absence
Skills and Attributes we are looking for
- Existing experience in supporting leading a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to achieve, and support colleagues to achieve, agreed deadlines
- Able to support process review and continuous improvement within onsite services
- Able to work well as part of a team and step up to motivate and lead the team when required
- Diligent, conscientious attitude with a strong work ethic
- PC literate and competent in Microsoft Office packages
- Client focused and strives to exceed client expectations
- Previous experience of onsite services is desirable (mailroom, archiving, print and fulfilment environments)
- Demonstrates a proactive and positive approach
- Problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines
